So, what is going on for July side challenges?
I saw the pet one, but i did that a couple of months ago.
Anyone got anything interesting lined up or ideas for something?
I have an idea, but was hoping someone else could come up with something :-) |

I had an idea I was going to post in the challenge suggestions, but it would work as a side challenge... Month of Body Parts.
Week 1: Hair
Week 2: Hands
Week 3: Feet
Week 4: Eyes
Or something like that... you get the idear |

We are having a Domino Style challenge here.
We still need voters and maybe one or two submitters. |

I like the body parts idea.
I was actually thinking of doing something similar.............I was going to photograph my whole body in small parts and then put each part into a seperate frame and hang them life size on the wall.
I'm not sure what to do about my "dangly bits" though?
Maybe have the light switch there :-) |

A semi profile might be cool and you could "hide" parts if need be. You'd still get one of everything (well, except "it) and it might be different and more artful than a straight on shot.

I thought a good challenge that would help a lot of people learn would be a "Quality of Light" challenge. Not really exact for subject matter, but I think trying to get quality light is one of the things that can make or break photographs. It would also allow all kinds of people into different shots to participate, from those learning studio lighting to Landscape photos. it would also help people to learn to to meter for different scenes so that light is a strong influence in the composition. Just a thought. I am not sure if I can participate with work, but I would love to see the results.

i like it!!! i've finally gotten to the point where i'm longing to be better at lighting. for the longest time i've just shrugged my shoulders at the quality of light. but like joe said... it really can make or break a photograph. i'm down for this one!
