Wow, what a way to start play-off week for DPL. Weekend. What'd I do? I built a bridge spanning the pond I built last weekend. Hmmmmm I sense a few days of plants and uhmmmmm..... I'm going to the beach! :P

| This should be easy. What I did this weekend was stand outside and look at a pretty landscape. :P |

Wake up, coffee, sit around the computer, do some honey do's, get some images on my cameras card, go back home, drink beer, look at my scores, floss, brush, change into jammies (the ones without the foot-ies), watch TV in bed, turn off TV, go to sleep.
Wake up.........

Play-off week doesn't start until July.

I actually just wrote this in my team thread but then saw the new challenge. I don't know if any of the shots I took are worth entering yet but I did have my camera with me and did get about 100 shots off so I guess we'll see.

Anyway my roommate (his mom) was camping here in Oregon with other people so it was difficult getting ahold of her but her twin sister and I drove 2 and 1/2 hours to get her then 6 hours to Redding and were there at the hospital at 6:30 this morning. He is completely fine and has been released from the hospital now and back with his dad for the rest of the camping trip.
So... I'm now back at home and very tired. It's been a very long and emotional weekend. My son is probably gonna get some extra hugs in the next few days. |

That's an amazing story! Glad to hear he turned out ok!
But unless you took any shots in the last 45 min., they would be before the challenge date, and illegal :-) |

| Oh good point.... I would've realized that.... I'm just tired right now. No none are from the last 45 min. But I have another trip planned for Wed/Thur which have promise for this challenge (maybe). |

This challenge starting on a monday sucks!!! It says show us what you did on your weekend...but any shot you took during the weekend, can't be used for this challenge because the date starts on Monday. There should be some added rule that you could use shots taken during the weekend......especially since it's a weekend challenge!
just my two cents....hopefully SC is looking at this and will add that rule to the challenge...otherwise it now becomes Week...instead of weekend.

I agree that really sucks!!!!! Just went to a awesome DPC GTG this past weekend and like you said this starts on a monday and we cant use the photos from this weekend? Come on whats the deal with that!!! I wont be entering this one :-(

Perfect timing!!!!
I already had plans for this coming weekend before this challenge was announced.
My shots of what I do this weekend will almost certainly be unique. I just have to figure out a way to make what will be interesting and 'out of the box' into something that is also a well taken, beautiful image.
I'd like to make it a self portrait to really show what I will be doing, but that would negate the beauty of the image ;) |

| This doesn't have to be taken on a weekend does it? The challenge description says, "Show us what you do or did with your weekend!". I think that means we can just show what we do on our weekends. Correct? |

Playoffs will begin with the one that is announced tomorrow night.
And no, the description does not say your image must be taken on the weekend, just show what you might do on the weekend....

What you might do on your weekend.
So for those who work, for example, Wed-Sun., their weekend is Mon, Tues. Yup, freestudy! |
