What kind of 'studio' work?

Buy a desktop. Musch faster and can do so much more. Get a external HDD and store all your files on it so if you happen to get a laptop and your traveling you can take everything with you.

I agree. A laptop should be for secondary use. A good desktop with a great monitor will serve you better.

...MacBook Pro I would like that one too!...or if you want to go a bit cheaper. Lot's of bang for your buck. HP
I have the HP Pavilion 8000 series, been happy with it and it's a good desktop alternative. It's not tiny, though.

I've owned both Dell and LG laptops. They have both been problem free. I've had the Dell for 4 years and the LG for only 8 months. As with everything, buy the best you can afford and dont pay for extras that you wont need.

question - if you run windows on an apple, are you using a mac or a window computer, theoretically? ;)

Is a laptop the same as a lap dance? I bought one of those once. Ok...40 or so. Either way, $100 tops.

you can get a macbook you really dont need the macbook pro thats if you dont want the bigger screen. I have a macbook and it runs just fine and is fast enough for me. I got it with 2bg of ram and a superdrive (dvd burner) installed. I did alot of comparing and their is not that big enough difference to me to get the pro version.

If I dont want to look at the laptop lcd all the time which is beautiful by the way I just hook up my bigger desktop lcd to it.

If you paid $100, I hope you got the happy ending...

I have a Tablet Notebook (Gateway.com) and it works AWESOME for editing because you can either use your mouse like normal, or flip the screen down and do it with a pen.

I've had a Dell Inspiron for 4+ years and its been amazing. Traveled around the world with me and I never even had it in a padded case, just thrown in the top of my backpack. I just got a new Dell XPS M1210 and it's been amazing so far as well. I <3 Dell!
