Awww, cheers Tony!!

You are an honorary Scot! As you have been here for so long I'll say that you can be one of us!!

And, when I finally get married, you will be the best man at the wedding wearing a kilt! (You'll have to be a true Scot though!)

I'm Scottish, but live in Japan.

Here's a Scottish joke.

An English doctor is being shown around the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. He walks into the first ward where he sees patients all in stookies, bandages and slings.

"This'll be the accidents ward?" he asked.
"That's right," his Scottish doctor-guide answered.

Next they walk into a ward containing patients all under 10-years old.

"Ah, the childrens ward?"
"That's right."

Then they enter a room whereupon a patient runs up to the English doctor and lauches with a

"I'm truly sorry mans' dominion,
hath broken nature's social union..."

Another inmate rushes forward with

"...an' nevr again will I lift
a lawless leg upon her."

And a third

"Now let us pray that come it may,
as come it will for a' that"

The English doctor, a bit shaken but nevertheless unstirred by the experience, offers, "and this'll be the psychiatric ward?"

"Oh, no," replies the Scottish doctor, "this is the serious Burns unit."

You're right. I don't recognize many of the names as active members, either. It is a nice feature of the site, though. Maybe you'll find someone close to you.
