Is it ok if a picture which is submitted on dpchallenge is also submitted to some other site? |

Yes it is, if the picture was taken within the dates of the challenge |

Although there is no rule against it, it may be a good idea to refrain from posting a challenge entry somewhere on the internet. It compromises the anonymity of the challenge. And if voters see it elsewhere and then in the voting, they may perceive that you copied it, or that you are trying to influence the outcome or the challenge. In either case a voter may vote you lower. Best to wait until the results are announced. |

There are some voters who will 'dock' your score if they see your photo online somewhere else. I have received comments indicating this in the past.

After the results are out, one can post the pictures for viewing on other sites then? |

You can post anytime anywhere, but remember your score may be effected as John has stated.

What's the point of doing that? Does it say somewhere that anonimity is part of the scoring process? Why would somebody do that, unless they just don't like you...

I don't pretend to understand reasoning :)

The photographer's name is not shown with their photo during the voting phase. Some people could take it as disrespecting that concept, anonymity; or as an attempt to rig the voting, if an entry is seen elsewhere before voting closes. |
