How does it look at 11:36pm where you are? This is how it looked in Alaska:

we're at the point now that it only gets somewhat dark from 1:00 am to 3:00 am....we have a couple hours of dusk after sunset, and again before sunrise...which today will be at 4:26 am. In a few more weeks we won't have anything other than daylight or dusk. |

I'm based in Tampere Finland now (just moved from Chicago). I think the daylight hours are pretty much the same as in Alaska. I arrived last night at around 1.00 am and it was just barely dark - not dark really. It was completely daylight again by 3.00 am.
Makes for difficult sleeping!

And I thought I had it hard when the sun was blasting through the curtains at 05:30am this morning...! |

Down here in South Africa it's very dark at 23:36. The sun sets at 17:23 today. |

That sounds like us in the winter time. During mid winter we were lucky to get 5 hours of daylight. Today is so cloudy out that it wont matter what time the sunsets. It won't be visible unless these clouds move out. |
