I think it is fine to do it. Just not real creative thats all. If it is a ribbon winner and you just keep shooting it, sort of cheapens the whole thing. Nothing wrong with being cheap I guess.

Well, I have to say, I try not to repeat subjects for my challenge entries, but the more I shoot and the more expensive fuel becomes, it gets harder and harder to go out and find new, creative subjects.

I will admit when I saw this entry that I recognized it from a previous ribbon winner and thought to myself "how unimaginative."

Now, I wont be a hypocrite and say that I wouldn't be tempted or even go out and duplicate a winning shot, especially now that we have this DPL thing going hot and heavy. DPL brings out the competitive juices in me that much more and something seemingly so easy to recreate, which you know will score well would be hard to pass up. ;-)

FWIW, It's a great shot and the fact the photographer has managed to now come home with two amazing images, both including the valley fog is still damn good work!

the first was definitely better with a score of 7.9!
