| Deep pockets required! The Nikon 8mm f/2.8 is much more common, and goes for about $2000 in excellent used condition. I've never seen one of the 6mm versions for sale, though I haven't really looked. |

Before you spring for the 2K, be sure that it isn't on the list of lenses than can't work with your DSLR. The Fuji S3, similar to Nikon D70 body will not work with it. The back of the lens intrudes into the camera so far that the mirror will hit it.
They show up on eBay once in a while, and the 8mm version is more common there. It's still fun to imagine using one though.

and it's only 14 lbs or so. i don't think the reciprocity rule would pan out with this one...

| This looks exactly like the lens we used when I worked for a real estate imaging company doing virtual tours. It was a great lens, and yes, very heavy. |
