"The Arcade" is an old grill and sandwich shop downtown. It has been around for 50 years or so. When I was young, my dad owned a printing company just down the street from it. On Saturday mornings, I would go to work with dad and he would always take me to The Arcade for a grilled cheese sandwich and a Sun Drop. At that time, The Arcade was considered a place for 'men' only. Women didn't go inside. There are four antique billiard tables in the back. Generally, there is a game of buckboard going on an a few dollars changing hands here and there. There used to be a shoeshine chair and someone giving shoeshines for $1. It is also renouned as one of the best places in town to buy barbecue.

The Arcade closed down for a short time in the early 1990s. The owner, Daldee Hefner, was getting old and couldn't handle it himself anymore, and he could not find a buyer for the business. About a year after it closed, someone finally bought it and reopened for business. Luckily, the new owners rehired most of the people who worked there before. The food is still the same... greasy and tasty :)

Lucky boy! Nice grainy look; low perspective makes me think you're trying to let us see what you saw on one of those Saturdays ...
