Video killed the radio star, and the internet is going to kill the television star.

Man you would think I would get that seeing how I have them all memorized.

Shouldn't that really read, "I can think of the following reasons that TV WAS so great."

Same though I believe I do have a life. TV just happens to be the background soundtrack to it.

ok I don't have a life either lol. I usually have the tv on but it's more for the background noise I think. I'd really rather have music going. And at the risk of my "man card" being revoked, I think the thing that has turned me off from tv the most is ESPN. Around the military it seems to be the thing that is always on. You can't go anywhere on the bases here in Okinawa without hearing or seeing sports, it drives me nuts! Then I have all the co-workers that talk about it all fricken day long on top of it, (if they'd only talk about hockey or show the games then I'd be ok since it is the only REAL sport).

...and the remote control had an update button?

I have never owned a TV since I was married 15 years ago and have never missed it.

What is tv?

Tv....a thing of the past fo sho.

I guess if I had to choose, I'd give up the tv. The internet has tons of movies and shows you can watch through it. I never watch the local news, so....

But if I couldn't chat and do the email and photography sites, I'd be lost.

TV but I would actually look to drop to basic and a slower link depending on usage.

TV. There are really only two shows I care about, and they both post their episodes online anyway.

A few to add to your list.

Taxi
Barney Miller
Soap
The Carol Burnett Show
Lucky Louie

Lucky Louie?

How about:
Webster
Belvadear
Head of the Class
Different Strokes.

Those were real stinkers that I couldn't not watch.

Lucky Louie is or was on HBO.
I liked Mr Belvadear but only because of Bob Uecker.
