How do I have a photo validated right away? Do I just use the "General Inquiry" Form on the Contact Us Page? I don't want any cloud of suspicion over my next Challenge entry ;) |

Click on your image on the sidebar and then click the "you may submit your original for review" link below your photo. |

Actually, the SC doesn't see that those originals are available until someone clicks the "Click here if you suspect a rules violation" button during voting.
There is no way to get an actual pre-validation with the "This photo has been validated" message. If you submit your photo through a ticket early, we can give you a heads up on whether it would pass through the disqualification process, but that is not the same as actually going through the whole shebang.
The only way to get a "this photo has been validated" message *during voting* is for someone to send us a report about your image, SC actually requesting proof, and the photo passing through the validation process before the voting period has ended.

Bummer. I'll send it over right away though. Hopefully you guys won't laugh too hard at how dirty my lens was when I took it.
Edited to add: Thanks for the quick replies!!!

Hi Laurie,
I actually sent a request this past afternoon to see if a photo would pass the Advanced Editing rules (for the "Double Take" challenge).
What is the turn-around time on these types of requests?
Thanks!

Hi Les,
Turn-around time depends on agreement among us. If it's non-controversial it should be fairly quickly - a day or so for enough people to weigh in with an opinion. Controversial items generally get resolved with a "that's risky" reply. :) I've seen yours, and will continue to keep an eye on it's progress. |
