I can̢۪t believe how fast you vote. Several are voting at the rate of 1 vote per second. And I̢۪m finding it interesting to see average vote cast go up and down. I don̢۪t know how some can make a decision that quick unless your going to comeback to this big # of entries challenge and do a second pass.

WOW!

I go back but chances are i dont rescore my lower votes, know why? It's better that i dont. I tend to vote high and if i go through them slower i tend to change them lower.

The main thing i sort through is my 8's 9's and 10's. If there are any 3's ill go back through and make sure they deserved to be that low or not.

I vote on 100% of the past 6 or 7 challenges and am trying to keep it up. Soon im gonna start commenting as much as i can. Kind of a participation goal.

I also go back. first pass is kinda like sorting for me. I like to spend more time on those that deserve it. but if it looks liek they didn't spend alot of time or thought making it then i don't spend alot of time judging it. I do however look a the very bottom to see if i can help at all.

I guess it depends on whether you're looking for technical brilliance or an emotional response. An emotional response is an instant thing, so can be done quickly.......However, a vote per second seems a bit fast.....

I assume by looking at their number of votes cast. then refreshing.

So you just pick someone at random and hope they happen to be voting at the time you are looking at their profile or is there something else I'm missing?

You can go and see who is on-line and click on the profile. Refresh and you can see the votes cast go up and avg votes cast change in real time.
With one voter, they would have two more votes posted by the time I hit refresh as fast as I could. I would say the page was refreshing quicker than a sec. So that was two votes per sec. and I have high-speed access so my pages load quick.

ETA: I just stumbled on this tonight and though it was funny. I wouldn't suggest anyone doing it because it is a waste of time. I noticed it when I seen my votes cast and avg score go up while voting. So I, being curious, wondered if you could see other change in real time and you can.

I filter through them all pretty quick.

Anything that pops out at me right away gets an 8. then I go through the 8s and take more time. I consider the technical, conceptual, and visual and make adjustments in the vote accordingly.

Then I go through everything else much slower.

Ditto that. It's pretty much exactly how I vote as well (at least on a challenge with such a large number of entries).

I know I vote fast the first time thru. I do this on the first day of the challenge but I don't give out anything under a 5 UNLESS it really deserves it. After that I choose a group (say I take all the 5's) and go back thru. 99% of the time I make a comment if it looks like the person has no clue what they are doing or I leave a comment for something that really catches my eye. I'm not going to lie to anyone and I don't care what anyone thinks about the way I vote but I will say this, I do vote VERY fairly on all the images. Well unless I know who the picture belongs too, then I just don't vote on that one. But I in the current Sel. Desat challenge I have already voted on like 62% of the images. But again like I said I vote high. My lows start out at a 5 unless it's just crap. But I will tell you if it is. That's just me though.

Edit: I really shouldn't read these discussions.

No it is not and no.

I don't think it's too fast. I'll get flames for this, but I am a speed voter. I vote on how much I like a shot, and I don't have to study it for hours to find that out. I don't care about technical things - if I like it, I like it.
