I am amazed too. I think that the water inspired the many talents this site has... |

Possible Water challenge entry that I did not enter. I just saw too many things wrong with it, but I promised my girlfriend that I would show it since she liked it so much. :) I liked the idea, just couldn't make it work for me.

Yes many great shots, stunning photos. I think that was finally a challenge where photographers gave theyr 100% best.
At least my entry was probablt the best shot I've ever taken, and it's rising up to demands ( after 40 votes I've got 7.69 ).
But I think so many shots will score extremely high and this is possbly the highest average challenge that I've seen.
Good job everybody ! |

Definitely some beautiful shots in the "water" challenge but it seems some of the shots are overprocessed.
There may be some opening up of the rules, but it doesn't mean you should go overboard.

I agree, don't like when people just draw theeyr photos, this rule should be used to get rid of white spots etc, not to create the photo. |

I must be missing something. I didn't see a single cat photo. |

I tried to take a shot of my cat in the bathtub, but the cat wouldn't cooperate. Evidently, cats don't like to get wet.

I was hoping to see more flawless pictures, but I notice little specks on some photos that could have been eliminated.

A completely soaked cat would probably get an 8 or 9 from me, haha. |

Except Bengal tigers, which enjoy swimming when it's hot (364 days/year?). |

Well after the whole Seigfreid and Roy mauling incident, we got rid of the Bengal Tigers. He was a little big for the bathtub anyway.

That's a pretty good score, 7.69 after 40. Now I'm wondering which of the pictures is yours :)))
Edit: Not asking, just wondering

Boo Hoo! I am only at 5.1 I'd love to get up in the 7's
I really tried hard to get this to be a different, good image
Maybe it is too different I only have 1 comment and they liked it
so thank you for that.

There are many good photos in this challenge but some are over processed.
I have only gotten 3 comments for 74 votes but they are the best three comments I have ever gotten so I am happy about that. |

You are doing good to be in the 6's. Hope you maintain. I'm sitting at a 5.1 myself. |

Thanks, I hope you do well too.
The wet T- shirt sounds a good idea, wish I'd have thought of that :)Originally posted by BigMo: You are doing good to be in the 6's. Hope you maintain. I'm sitting at a 5.1 myself. |

Unfortunately I didn't have time to set up my water shot. I was going to use a bright, multi-colored background (ala Rackat's shot) and write the word "WATER" using drops of water on it (ala Kiwiness's shot). Then I was gonna apply some Rain-X to a piece of glass, and use some boxes or something to raise it up over the word "WATER". Then put some water drops on the piece of glass (ala jmsetzler's shot), but with a bigger drop in the middle. Finally, I was going to use an eye dropper and make a splash in the big middle drop.
*grumble* Darn busy holidays time of the year... *grumble* :-) |

Pity, that would have been great.
Nothing to stop you doing it for the future.Originally posted by EddyG: Unfortunately I didn't have time to set up my water shot. My own two bits: I am slowly making my way through the water challenge. I think that it is one of the best challenges we've had. High quality work here, folks! My current score isn't bad, but I'm sure it'll be 'blown out of the water' with the high quality photography. Congrats, folks!
