I haven't seen it since it went off the air, but I liked it in its day! Watched it faithfully.

My Verdict: Bad
Starbuck and Boomer are women? The new Boomer is ok I guess. She seems to be playing her part well even if she is Boomer in name only. I don't see much of a resemblance to the original character. The new Starbuck on the other hand has none of the rico suaveness of the original. Both her character and the original were one dimensional but at least the original was one dimensional in a funny way.
Who came up with the look for the Cylon fighters? Boy they really dropped the ball there. It's almost comical to see these flying cylon heads whizzing around.
On the plus Olmos was a solid choice for Adama and Apollo is less of an altruistic wimp. At first it seemed Callis would make a good Baltar but they turned him from this evil person to some sort of lame pawn. Very disappointing. I was hoping with the remake he wouldn't be the pudgy original and be more evil and dark but it's sad to see that didn't happen. Well, at least he isn't a pudgy couch potato anyway.
I think the main reason I'm disappointed is they have been hyping it for six months. I would have just accepted it if they just gave it a couple of weeks of adverts but with six months to build up my expectations it pales in comparison.

I think it is more enjoyable completely ignoring the original, rather than trying to compare the two.
Though Starbuck was pretty lame and the random victoria secret soft porn scenes seemed fairly unecessary |

| They are apples and oranges for sure but like I said that wasn't so much the problem as the hype making it seem like it was going to be so much better than it turned out to be. |
