Its a simple matter of human cloning! :)
Seriously, take a bunch of images without moving the camera, then paste selected parts of each image back to the original image. Cloning is your friend. Its very simple once you've preacticed the technique. Look under "Learn" on the nav bar above and you'll find a tutorial by Kiwiness.

Oops - I looked under "Wow'd They Do That."
Well this site does need a local idiot, and I'm glad to fill in for that job :)
Thanks for the pointers! |

Im gona try one sooner or later, my main issue is i dont have a remote and i dont believe their is one. So im gonna have to try my luck at making sure the camera doesnt move when i set the timer.
Once i get the K10D shouldnt have any issues. |

Do you have a tripod? If you mounted it on one it seems like it wouldn't move when you gently pressed the shutter button to start the timer... |

Heh heh yeah 30 dollar tripods even when locked tight asrent that great. If the camera moves AT ALL, 1/10th of a degree or say the body pushes back 1mm in either direction its enough to to offset the image captured by several mm usually no more then half a cm.
A better tripod something with a locking ball head would work well. Seen em for 99 to 129 dollars as far as the ones i liked. More important things right now ya know. |

Shrug. I did this with a $30 tripod and my point-and-shoot:
I also did my triptych with the same setup, which is the same kind of shot. |

if u got photoshop just use layer mask and "erase" the guy into the picture. quickest and easiest way to do it. |

I made it easy on myself for this shot. Layer masking was VERY simple.
This got a bit harder

This was tough...not only fitting 6 of me in the Miata...but it was my first attempt at doing it. Something else...aside from masking, make sure you know where and how you want everyone. The order that the layers are in is very important.

Here, I've written it up step by step in this thread. Just look for my post on 05/17/2007 at 11:26:15 PM: //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=592409
I'll be writing this up into a tutorial shortly, too.
