Any ideas on a safe & cheap way of cleaning your lens. I accidently left a fingerprint while changing batteries. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
thanks

I bought a lens pen, which works better than anything I've ever tried. Several people had recommended them to me. They are hard to find though depending on where you live. About $10-$15 and worth it!

I, too, have a lenspen. I got it at Ritz in our Mall, it came highly recommended by the salesman (not necessarily an authority!) and in an article I read. I've used it numerous times, and it cleans without scratching. One end is a retractable brush, the other end a protected felt(?) wipe that makes contact with cleaning fluid when covered.

I use the simple Kodak Lens Cleaning Paper. One pack of 50 sheets (approx 3x5) last me for a year or better.

Thanks everyone!
How long does the lens pen last? Forever would be great!

When you used a lens pen do be careful.

You may want to also look into a lens blower also. If you have a tiny bit of sand on the lens it may scratch. You can also used your breath to blow the lens first before using the lens pen.

Good point.

Besides this, your breath can also provide a bit of moisture to clean with if there's a stubborn spot.

But there's also a soft brush on one end to use first to remove any dust or sand.
