Check out the scores in the last triptych challenge and you may feel better ... there are some absolutely incredible images buried down in the mid and low 5s. (There were 59 scores above 6 in that challenge, about 25% of the entries! With so many great entries, I suspect that a lot of images were downgraded because of the competition.)
Everything is relative, and a 5.x (or even a 4.x) doesn't mean its a "bad" picture. I'm quite happily now above 6.2, but won't be surprised if that's not even in the top 50 in this one. |
I am very glad you said this. I started the day off at 6.4 and just dipped below 6 at 5.98, which of course is disappointing. It is all relative. And it is a very strong challenge. Nice to be amongst such great photographers. |

Slipped from 5.8 but this combined with my landscape entry is heading towards a double personal best beating. Currently it's 5.5 odd but so far these are 5.6 and 5.9.
Weird though I got a DQ request, I hope I didn't do something stupid I barely know how to edit using anything but sliders.
Here's hoping someone saw my image first and hadn't read the challenge description and flagged me for using three shots :p |

I was a little pissed at this score but after taking the time to look at all the entries...I am extremely happy with it. This challenge seems to have brought out the best. These images are by far, the best I have seen in any challenge since I have been here. Outstanding!! |

It is funny.
My score drops below, and rises above a 6.0.
The funny thing is that it is continuing to fall exactly on 6 every so often.
Never had this happen before.
