No? Didn't think so :)

How is everyone doing? I've been away for a bit, but slowly working my way back.

As for me and mine? Well, here we go.

Terry, still working in Ithaca, still an assistant manager but he's okay with that, he's decided he doesn't want his own store anymore, he's happy where he is and comfortable with his position. SO now we just have to get him back to Elmira so he won't have to make that dang commute all the time. He turned 60 last month, can you believe that? I can't! Yikes where is the time going. But the good part is he still doesn't even look close to his age, well except in this picture. Old Terry

As you can see he (as well as I) have been having some dental work done, lots of teeth pulled, new dentures, the works, so much fun, NOT! :)

I am working full time, started in December, right before the holidays and have survived the layoffs that have occured so far. I'm working for NDS, it's a telephone answering service, we take orders for companies and handle customer service issues. I was hired as a temp for the holidays and have worked very hard , not missing any shifts, doing my upsells, not being late, etc. and now have been trained in just about all the different companies we answer phones for (they only start you with two), data entry, supervisor que (answer other reps questions) and starting tomorrow I will be training for the traffic desk. I'm very excited and scared at the same time. I have finally come to realize that phone work is what I am meant to do. I can still have fun with the other stuff but for steady income and stability, it's the phones for me. Answering and talking, that is my strength, just ask my mom, LOL!

My arm is acting up again, but not as badly this time, about ready to go find me an electric fence and shock myself. But our insurance is changing on the 1st because just what I thought would happen if I went back to work full time, did happen. We lost the state insurance and I have to pay for the kids state insurance (only $9 each per month) but now Terry and I have to pick up insurance through his work and that is $87 a WEEK for health and dental. OUCH! But it will include other doctors that the state didn't so I can get help for my arm this time.

I had mentioned bankruptcy before and yes, it's true. We are filing bankruptcy again, chapter 13 this time to save the house. We fell behind on the mortgage and such, made some really stupid decisions again but I honestly think we have learned our lesson this time around. Terry's aunt passed away last year, leaving a sizeable estate behind and we were part of the people who rec'd part of that estate. Now, normally when we get large amounts of money (anything over $1,000 is large to us) we blow it on stupid stuff and don't save it for anything. Well, this time I am proud to say that we managed to actually save a good share of it and our bank account is looking pretty good these days. And has for the past 6 months. We are enjoying life still but not as much or as large as before. We had to have work done on both the cars recently, almost $1,000 worth and was able to pay cash for it and still have a healthy balance in the checking account. So we are learning, still tempted and such, but working together for the first time in our marriage on the financial end of the deal, I always kept things from Terry before to protect him but that didn't work because I needed someone to protect me as well. So now we are totally honest and open about the bills and such and doing much better.

Melissa is doing well. Okay, not really well, but she's hanging in there. She's having trouble in school right now and as a result I now go to the school every Monday during 10th period and talk to her teachers. She's not flunking out but she's darn close and I won't allow that to happen. Her teachers were a bit shocked at first at my insistance that she stay on top of it (not used to having involved parents) but do appreciate it. I hired a tutor for her to work with her during lunch on her math (her hardest subject) and we are debating if she will be allowed to continue with Art next year or take a study hall, it will depend if she pulls her grades up before the end of this marking period and keeps them up. She is doing great on the Alto Sax, her solo meeting for State is on Saturday and it turns out the peice that the teacher gave her is a level 3, not a level 2. She's only been playing since September but she sounds great!

Ellie is also doing well, she's on the High Honors roll at school, in band, out of chorus and working in the school store. She's quite the social butterfly that girl, going to dances, talking on the phone, sleep overs, very busy and turning into a typical, moody teenager. Her black hair started growing out and she realized what I was worried about with her dirty blonde hair growing in. She looked like a skunk for a bit but then we got a nice dark brown and put that in her hair and she has a lovely dark copper effect going on now.

James is James as usual. Almost 5 and full of himself. He is not going to Headstart at this very moment as I pulled him out yesterday. They have a staff member that has been getting threats in their personal life and as a result the school is on lockdown all the time. The kids can't go outside and play and everyone is always on alert for this person who is totally unpredictable or so I was told. So I let them know I was not comfortable having my son put in that situation by one of their staff and was pulling him out until the situation was settled. It probably won't be since this happened late last year as well and they were on lock down for almost a month, same person. So as a result my baby stays home where I know he's safe and not being put in harms way intentionally.

The animals are all well, we have a new addition as of today, her name was Zoe but now it's Gracie, I will get pictures of her soon, but right now I have to get ready for bed and go to court in the morning! Wish me luck!

So there you have an update, here are some new pictures: New pictures These are all straight from the camera, untouched, nothing done but saved for web.

Enjoy!
