I've owned my Minolta 5D for around 1.5 years and have been very happy with it, the only problem I've had is the lack of accessories and lenses.
Well I took the plunge last night and ordered a new Canon EOS400D kit and the Sigma APO 70-200 mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM lens.
I can't wait for my new family member to arrive.
And in case you are curious, the Minolta 5D has been given to my Dear Loving Wife who allowed me to purchase the new Canon.

Ok, I'm bummed. I just received an email from the store. They canceled my order :-(
Looks like I won't be getting a new camera as soon as I had hoped.

| I had ordered it through Dell since I had several ready to expire coupons and they actually had it at a decent price. As to why it was canceled....nobody seems to know. |

Congrats on the (hopefully soon) arrival of the new camera.
Though I have to say I'm sad to see someone drop from the KM ranks :-( Hope you have a great time with the new one! |

I don't understand. Are you saying you can't find the accessories? I own a 7D and have only had problems getting a Bigma (got a 70-200 f/2.8 +2X converter instead). Other than that, I've gotten what I needed .
But, if you must buy a new camera, congrats and good luck...when you get it.
