I didn't notice that the file size for "Landscape" was 200 KB and 720 pixels - now I get hammered for submitting a picture with 640 px and 62% JPEG quality.

Anyone wanna join in?

I did the same thing because the free study specifically states 720 and the open challenges didn't so I assumed that they were not. I went to upload my 640 image last night and just happened to notice on the left side it said 720...I'm glad I saw that and resubmitted in time...

I believe in the Expert Editing rules it states a max of 720 pixels & 200MB. I almost missed it as well, but when I was rereading the rules I decided I'd see if it accepted it - and it did... :-)

Yep, me too. Too bad Langdon's new coding didn't catch your "too small" challenge entry. :)

I had no idea either...I just thought the flag was to show the expert editing...man an extra 80 pixels might have helped...haha maybe not.

I didn't notice it either. but I probably would have kept it to standard 640 anyway.

75% of 720 is 540. ;) 640 is reasonable to me.

Me too Me too Me too, but i am not regretting too much coz my pic was just average and i submitted it just to overcome my lethargy of not particiating in any challenge for the last 3 weeks

Sure didn't help my entry - I entered a 720, 200kb image and am getting my hat handed to me with a score at 5.0....

What? Do they have a magnifying glasses and they are studying each pixel. To me they all look good. What difference does it make in the scheme of things if it 640 or 720 as long as it technically is a good photo. That is being nick picky in my opinion.

I've just been looking at a few of the shots and I have to agree with Becky, you can tell everything you need to know at 640 and I don't think it will make much difference in the final placement.

I notice that a lot of the pictures were submitted at less that 640 -- many of them are around 500 pixels. Even with my glasses on, that's pretty hard to see. They may be the best landscapes in the world, but if I can't see them.....
