I will be taking my daughter to visit Brown U arriving Tuesday eve. and leaving Wednesday late afternoon. I don't know what they have scheduled for parents, but I am guessing I'll have some free time.

I'm open for any suggestions on places to go for photography in that immediate vicinity. The weather may not be good, so that might include visiting galleries too.

Is anyone here from that area or very familiar with it who might have some suggestions, or who might be interested in a very informal (and probably short) photo meet?

Hi Neil! I live in RI. I couldn't meet you during the day, but surely could catch up for dinner and provide guidance.

The Brown campus itself is very photogenic. Within walking distance of the University is: Benefit Street, Wickenden Street, the Providence Athenaeum, the Capitol building, and much much more. Street candid opportunities abound on Thayer Street (also within walking distance). The First Baptist Church of America is also right around the corner.

Providence is rich in historical landmarks, and the architecture is simply beautiful on the older streets mentioned above.
