okay so I was posting in another thread about designing a logo after someone else had started it and someone got mad and said I was thread jacking and wanted me to start a new thread so here it is.
I need a logo that is fun, creative, east to see, likely to remember and just plain out cool to look at. I have created some in the past but didn't really put a bunch of effort into it but now I am looking for designs and or ideas for something new.
The Initinals of my company are SPH. They stand for Salmi Property Holdings, LLC. What I do is flip houses like millions of other people out there. So remodeling is my main subject I guess.
Here is a few logos that I did a while back but like I said I am not happy with the at all, co maybe someone could help me come up with some new ideas.
Thanks in advance.

That is awesome, I really like that. Looks better than the one I did a while back.

Oh good, I see you transfered my post!
I can modify colors and such if you want something a little different. Honestly though I like your #3 logo better than I like mine. Maybe add some text to yours or something so that people can know the name? I really like the cartoonish look. |

yeah I am really looking for something that says hey I'm a business but I'm not a tight ass. I like the cartoonish look too and always have with everything I've made but I just need something more. I need ideas more than anything...

Just a comment from experience. The simpler the better because ultimately you will probably want to put the logo on anything from shirts and hats to golf balls and maybe even clocks. There are some important rules to consider:
1) Use as few colors as possible, but you still want it to look great.
2) Ensure it can be easily reproduced in a vector format.
3) Make sure it still looks recognizable when it is VERY SMALL.
4) Keep it simple so it is easy to remember and recognize.
5) There is a BIG difference between a Word Mark and a Logo. You will need BOTH for your company at some point.
6) Avoid colors that clash.
IMHO this guy is one of the best out there and he is not very expensive...

yeah he has some pretty cool looking logos and things but I just can't make my mind up on what all I want. I think I am trying to add the letters to the logo so it is all one but I also like the idea of maybe not doing that. I will edit some more tomorrow (well today) and see if anyone likes them.

| I like that one! Simple yet has some good graphical information (the roof) that tells you what this is about. I think maybe the text looks a bit too broken up for my tastes.. maybe a border? But really it is fine the way it is, too. Just a different thought. |

I agree with klstover, the broken text bothers me. If the text was solid I think you would have a winner.
