How do you post process them?

Would love to see some examples too :)

I love freckles, I did this one in B&W mostly because it looked better but also one of those freckles is a little cut and it hides reasonably well among the freckles.

If you want to get rid of them, you could use a red filter in front of your flashlight.

You can also play with the red channels in Photoshop.

to be honest, I don't really understand either. Freckles are personality, why erase that?

I dont necessarily want to hide them ( tho it would be an interesting learning experiement to find out how) I am just interested if there is any kind of processing step that people do with frekles maybe to emphasise them or whatever I havent thought of!. My daughter has freckles....I love them :)

Here's an example of one photo with two different processing techniques the first being a pretty straight forward edit for the most part. On the second one I used Virtual Photographers Character filter, played with the settings a bit and then changed that layer to either Overlay or Softlight (can't remember which now) and played with the opacity of the layer until I got it how I wanted it. As you can tell, the freckles are much more pronouced in the second. I believe if you play around with the blue channel you can probably get similar results. The third example is using the character filter straight without the overlay adjustment. Again, just messed with the VP settings until I got the results I wanted. Using the preset filter is very contrasty and tends to cause blow-outs (such as in the sweater of the color photo). BTW, I LOVE freckles. :)

I hope you don't mind, but I had a go at your photo. She is a beautiful girl and the light on her hair is lovely. All I did to this was a simple curves adjustment to lighten it a bit and then added a B&W layer using a blue filter, changed that layer to softlight and lowered the opacity down to about 70%. That was it. It basically just added more contrast to the photo which in turn brought out her freckles more. I'd probably lighten her eyes a bit and maybe her face a bit more as well if I were to edit this further.
