Hmmmm, I chose the more dramatic processing because it really brought out her eyes and freckles. I didn't really see the sweater as a distraction. But this is why I enter, to learn. :) Here's a more natural edit of the same photo.

Personally, the dramatic processing appeals to me much more as well.. but we've always had a very similar taste.

Don't worry about that score.. This is DPC Free Study for you. I've had a couple of otherwise great photos (or, at least, very well liked photos), score amazingly low in free studies here.

You've caught a great attitude, and a very wistful expression. Feel proud about this one.

Very cute. Sweet model. The tight crop works well - in fact I wonder what it would look like if it was tighter still - maybe crop off the bottom two (or more) inches of the shot because the sweater is a bit hot so it distracts a little from the very well captured face. Again - great model beautifully captured - well done. 7

Such a pretty little girl with a great smile! I would crop out the lower portion of the picture as all that turquoise color is a bit distracting.

Beautiful model and photo. Love the freckles. I would like to see it cleaner, with less of a grundgy look, but it is nice as is.

she's gorgeous, really nicely captured...perhaps there is a little bit of blown highlights on the jumper, but nice...her freckles are adoreable

Very cute smile and intense eyes, but unfortunately the sweater is blown out and the end of her hair is out of focus. Still a nice picture and a 6 from me

a very good portrait. The sweater seems over exposed, maybe that was intentional, but I find my eyes going to that instead of the girls eyes, which IMO should be the subject here. Very crisp and great DOF.

Wow she is so precious and the colors are perfect. Maybe a little less crop on the top and more on the bottom? It is well done and you captured her personality. Good entry.
