took my son to a birthday party for some neighborhood kids saturday, so i've got a few days of shots to post. here are the birthday kids, grace and garrett. they're brother and sister and their birthdays are close enough together to share a party...

i swear, when this challenge started, i never intended to be so kid heavy in my entries. just goes to show what my life is like these days, i guess.
more from the party... it was at the botanic gardens here in memphis and they took the kids on a bug hunt. almost entered one of these into insects, but figured they weren't literal enough to escape the DNMC trap, so here you go...

Day 16 - Eyes
I did say I was going to do mono candids all month but somehow it seemed vaguely sacreligous to desaturate this one.
This is another shot from the walk. I know you're all missing the mature transvestites and hoping it would be the theme until May, but you'll just have to be patient. And no I don't have any phone numbers.
Good thing these charity walks. However much practice I'd had I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to walk up to this girl in the street and ask to take her picture.
I had a t shirt with 'Photographer' written on it but most people didn't notice. It sort of went like this -
Me: Excuse me, but please can I take your picture ?
Woman in bra: Are you from the paper ?
Me: No, I'm just a passing pervert with a camera and a lingerie fetish.
Woman in bra: Oh, that's all right then.
I actually did have that conversation at least ten times. Strange world.
At the risk of being accused of hijacking the thread with waffle, I wouldn't mind some feedback on these efforts.

Okay, I'll try to keep up better this week, I have less on the schedule so shouldn't be a problem. I'm still seeing some really nice work posting here and loving the effort you guys are making to get good looking portraits. Keep it up! :D

Ok, just another one from the Ren Faire. I really blew the lady's hat out (weird overcast sky was sort of behind them) but could not pass on this one because (yes, I'll say it) the lads were too darn adorable.
