Day 13
I convinced my friend to let me take her picture by telling her I would improve upon her. I have been practicing for two days to see what I can do. First off the lighting was horrible so I started in B&W (second pic). Then I decided to try some things in color. Hopefully she will like it. |

I tried to make Gus a little scarier by adjusting the contrast to bring out his eyes. |

Day 16 - Charity Walk
Yesterday's picture, today's and probably most of those for the rest of the month were taken at a charity walk in aid of a new breast cancer unit for our local hospital. Most of the walkers were in fancy dress and had their bras on outside their clothes. I signed up to take some photos ages ago - I didn't realise until the last minute that it was going to be at night - so I had to give away my tickets to see Bob Dylan in Sheffield. I had about an hour as night came in a fallin' to get as many shots as possible. Having done this Challenge for 2 weeks really helped - I had a good idea how I wanted the shots framed and also of working in poor light and having asked a few strangers already helped as well because there was nothing for it here but to grab the bull by the horns and just start walking up to people and asking. Nobody refused, most were pleased and after a while people started gravitating towards me rather than me having to approach them.
Now I have about 700 images to try to process and make into a souvenir montage to sell for charity funds.
Nothing funny there. I did get to say 'Can I take your picture when you've put your bra on' to someone, which made me feel like a proper photographer.

OK..I am shamefully behind on commenting, and I do apologize..I will get to it in the next day or so, I promise !!
In the meantime, in an attempt to get over shooting strangers in public, I did a little stalking in Allen Gardens today ;)
And its a two-fer cause he was too gorgeous to resist, and I couldn't decide which edit I preferred
