one person's creativity is dressing their kid up in an unusual outfit.
another's is covering religious icons in fake blood.
still another's is shining a colored light on a flower.
still another's is some form of abstraction.
the point? who defines what is "creative enough"? and who are you trying to appease in your efforts?
i see the challenge of the challenges as being creative while still fitting within the constraints of the 'assignment'. that takes some skill, and some have developed those skills more than others.
it's the oldest rationalization in the world to blame others for not 'getting' one's work. imho, though, in some cases, that's like being given an assignment to write about the causes of world war II, but one writes a poem about underwear, and then gets mad at the reaction.
finally, i should say that i like creativity and attempts thereof, and if people are at least trying to be creative, and push themselves in that department, then that's alright with me : ) ...
