| I have the sigman ef500 DG super flash. I want to use it off my camera to backlight subjects. I know I can use it as a slave w/ the master being my on camera flash, but I don't want that. I just want the flash to fire off my camera w/ no other flashes. What piece of equipment am I missing? |

| does you flash have a PC cord input? |

High-speed sync & wireless E-TTL TTL features are supported when used with applicable cameras (wireless flash only supported by film cameras)

Depends a little bit on if you want the flash in manual mode or some sort of auto metering.
In manual mode, you can use long PCsync cords or wireless remotes (like pocket wizards or various cheaper options)
If you want metering/ automatic flash control, you'll need to look in to what sort of remote TTL options are available for your flash/ camera |
