I know kirbic is due in Arizona sometime soon, if I'm not mistaken...
Whenever he's in town, do some of us want to get together for a meet somewhere?

I'll keep y'all posted. I have a trip to Phoenix tentatively scheduled for the second week in April (6-16th) but right now the trip is on hold. I'll know by the 3rd week in March if it's a go or not.

If you go on a photo safari with kirbic don't let him intimidate you with his fancy 5D and bevy of lenses. You'll notice that 5D folks tend to collect and flock together out in the wild. ;)

Did someone say 5D? It so happens that I will be in Phoenix from April 2nd to 8th. Part of that (the first part) will be up in Grand Canyon/Antelope Canyon, but I should be in Chandler on Saturday the 7th.

That's awesome Jason. Maybe we can tentatively schedule the 7th then. That would certainly fall within Kirbic's 'tentative' schedule, and being a Saturday should make it easier for most of us (I hope).

We should think of some ideas.

I know a Cactus League baseball game would be fun (sports photography is an area I would like to learn), but maybe not for everyone.

Any other ideas?

I'm open for ideas on where to go, I just need to ask Laura if she'd be willing to, depending on the day... Because if she can't go, I can't go. :)

Bah, this is the fastest I've had to pull out of something. Turns out I'm flying back Saturday the 7th. I forgot Sunday was Easter.

My trip looks "on" at this point. I should be arriving in PHX no later than mid-day on the 6th (I'm driving down). Jason, perhaps we could meet on the evening of the 6th?

I'm going to be in Tempe 13-17th, though I'm going to be a bit preoccupied. If there's anything going on on the 16th and if I can still walk, I might be available.

If you are stuck for something to do on the Sunday, I could take some support too.

Let me see how things are closer in. I'd love to do it, but it's a matter of whether I'm expected to spend time with the in-laws or not. Night photography would be big fun.

I live in Chandler and would be up for a photo get together, but I'm probably shooting a motorsport event for a friend (owner/driver) the first weekend of April and my wife delivers our 3rd child April 10 ... so it really depends on the day.

How hot is it getting out there just now ? I saw 98F on the forecast for Saturday. I'm slightly concerned.

It is getting hot. It is high 80's F now and it's supposed to be 94F on Saturday. But that's nothing compared to what it will be in a few months. :-P
