It's that time of year again! The annual Leonid meteor shower peaks tonight (Tuesday 18th) through Wednesday (19th Nov) morning.

It's not suppose to be as impressive this year as in the past, but they say it could still be nearly 50 meteors per hour. The best viewing is suppose to be between 2 and 5 am when they'll be higher in the east-southeast sky. The waning crescent moon will be in the same part of the sky so it could make it slightly difficult.

Last year my neighbor & I drove for several miles late at night in an attempt to find a good, dark place to view this... and we didn't see a single meteor. I'll be calling it an early night this time around :)
