Awesome! I wish I had time for the workout part of it, but school is just ridiculous. Maybe this summer!

It's the end of week one, and I'm down three pounds! I'm looking forward to celebrating it tonight with a new hairstyle and a glass of sangiovese. :-D

This has nothing really to do with weight watchers but if your looking for a way to lose 5-10 lbs, The cereal diet really works and you can eat as much as you want! Cereal for breakfast and lunch, then a reasonable dinner, try it for two weeks and watch the weight go down....even works with whole milk. Everyone should also always take daily vitamins. You should always check with your doctor! This has always worked for me!

I'm on the 100% Fad Free diet fad these days. //www.eatright.org

No all x food diets, no 'buy this food and lose weight' diets. No 'just eat our products exclusively for the rest of your life' diets.

Even doing something simple like getting off the bus one stop earlier or parking further away can add 30 minutes of easy exercise in to each day. It isn't much but it all adds up.

I've always eaten slow, which is good. lika most people Stress and Tension induces irresponsible intake of food, then regret it afterwards, realizing it really didn't taste as good as it looked.

Drink, Drive, and eat responsibly. Responsibility includes regular maintenance of your body just like your car. I had a car sit in my yard for 12 months, it's "feet" rusted up. I had a tow truck pull it away to its junkyard. Junk food will take us to our junkyard, too. Getting enough Sleep may be important to quell your cravings, too, according to some recent studies.

I haven't had too much problems but check back with me July 15th, this post has gotten me to take a challenge to lose 20 lbs. by then. 1) I will make a conscious effort to make wiser decisions in my food intake. 2) I will go to Fitworks 3 times every week. I said it here, I won't turn back. 205-20 = 185

IIIIZZZZZ iittt ???!!!

Edit to say that I eat lunch with this guy every day ... and he's telling the truth ;] ... He also cuts his food into little pieces and chews well. I am a horrible chewer ... I need to chew better (it's a good workkout for your moutha and takes stress of your innards).

I wish I had the luxury of eating slowly! Unfortunately I tend to inhale my food while doing two other things at the same time. But I do eat small meals and snack throughout the day, which I think helps with the moderation aspect.

I traded my smoking and drinking problem for an exercise problem I think. Quit smoking about 10 years ago now, hardly drink at all any more either.

4km swim tonight. 18 mile run tomorrow. 70 mile bike ride on Sunday.
and this is an easy weekend.

Always a fine Tour de France image. Helps open up the lungs for the big climbs.

for the record:

4 thin mints = 3 points
2 samoas = 4 points
2 all abouts = 3 points
4 sugar-free brownies = 0 points ('cause you will spit them up 'cause they are gross). technically, they are 3 points.

i'm putting mine in the freezer. in the basement. of my friend's house.

Awesome!

I have to eat so much today that I'm actually wondering how the heck to fit it all in! I got up too late for breakfast, so that complicates things a little. I'm thinking a glass of wine with dinner, a big ole chocolate chip cookie... everything else is obscenely healthy - banana, grapes, cherries in vanilla yogurt, asparagus & tofu stirfry, homemade mac & cheese from a slimmed-down Vegetarian Times recipe, and a Healthy Choice mocha swirl bar. I'm going to spend the entire freaking day eating just to stay on target because undereating your points is not recommended.

Not completely unrelated, my Mom has been dieting and walking on her treadmill, though not in accordance with any formal diet plan, and has been getting frustrated at the lack of progress. She was just beside herself that I've lost 4 lbs. in the last nine days when she knows I don't have time to exercise. I told her I think she may not be eating enough. It would be great if I could get her to do something like WW for a month, just so she can see what the difference is and where she's been going wrong.

anyone here still doing this?

i have been counting points for about a month now, but i just totally suck at writing them down in a coherent place. i freelance and am always driving around and eating on the go.

however, i stumbled across a link for a discount code for the WW online tools and decided to give it a try. sadly (because this says a lot about how much time i'm on the computer), i've found it WAY easier to track points this way. and i can build in my own recipes and save entire meals (i eat the same thing for breakfast almost every morning), and it's worked.

i got the 3-month corporate savings rate. i'm not a corporation, but they didn't seem to have a problem taking my money. :) :)

let's bump this thread and see what others are doing.

I had been doing well, but then I had a bad round with stress making me extremely sensitive to diet-friendly foods. So at first my diet turned from weight-management to IBS-management, and then it just dropped altogether. It's now the end of the semester and I just don't have time to think about meal planning. I'm going to restart once this semester is over. I'll only be in one class this summer, and it's online, so I'll have a lighter load and a little more time to do things like work out, too.

inspiration.

i found this completely coincidentally a few minutes ago.

I'll give blemt a heads-up on this thread too. She had tremendous success with a body transformation program she was on last year, and she can probably offer some helpful suggestions.

Can't say I do this (god knows I need to though), but my mum has done this with some success, she is on a different program called Scottish slimmers atm but same idea, and she finds it easier if you go witha friend as it means you can't just lie to yourself as someone else knows rough;y what you are doing. at the moment she has lost about 3 and a half stone, so just a little to go and she should be at her target weight.
