Anyone who has been there, or lives there, where would you suggest i go to get some great shots? I know ill find some, but unless you've been there im sure theres lots id miss. Feel free to post example shots too. |

If your going to S. California thing you DO NOT WANT TO SHOOT are...
1= Any gang bangers. If you are not sure if they are part of a gang, don't ask them if they are. Not a good idea.
2= Homeless people in Downtown LA. Even though the cops are cleaning up the area, and kicking out homeless people, alot of them are not exactly excited about photographs of them. Offer money first before shooting, but do it quietly.
3= LAPD. They have guns. Most are good, honest people. (LOL)
4= Actors. Unless you have a long lens, but actors are more insane, and insecure than homeless people, and LAPD put together. They have body guards that are not afraid of drop kicking your camera into a wall. Be carful.
5= Anywhere in between O.C. and S. LA. You will get shot. If you do happen to not take heed, make sure to have your camera on burst so you have a better chance of getting an image of the person shooting at you.
Have fun. Shoot alot. Be safe.

I live in th bay area (San Francisco area) and the city is great for taking pictures. I went there for the street photography challenege yesterday and was quite successful. If you go there you can visit Pier 39, girradelli(sp?) square, the golden gate bridge, the SF Zoo, China town, and even ME :D
lol, it's fun to see all the different cultures there as well as some...uh...hmm, "different sexualities" (aka gay people)
;-)
