do we allow to have soft focus for basic editing using picasa?

Hi Girish,

Unfortunately, the Soft Focus effect in Picasa would not be legal in the Basic Editing ruleset. This is because when you pick the spot around which to softly focus, you are in effect Spot Editing which is not allowed.

Sorry!

No not in Picasa, but you can do it in Photoshop if you want (or have it).

It's quite easy and legal in basic. First you over sharpen just a bit. Then apply a Gaussian blur. Then go to edit Fade Gaussian Blur and fade til it looks good.

just run your finger tip over the lense...that works for a soft focus too....or just don't focus it all the way....that's usually the comment i get when i do soft focus....

Thanks for the response!!!! My problem was that I looked a photography and after applying soft focus using Picasa, it really bumped..I did not know that before and that is where my question came in!!!
