Day 24
We went down to Popes Creek today to see the place where George was born. It is a working farm with kitchens barns and the rest. It has a nice visitor center and a great view but I wasn't really impressed with the the house pictured above. |

I've been trying to catch up on comments. Dealing with insurance company and trying to get a new car is all very taxing. At least I'm not in the hospital like poor JerseyGenie!
Anyway - here are some so-so pictures. My creativity has been compromised - not for long though. :o)
This palm tree is so strange - it just stands out. So I tried photographing it on two different occasions - behold the results.

Midwinter Thaw. Back to Valley Falls, temps got into the upper 40's and low 50's for two days. I was depressed, knowing that the ice challenge was coming up and all the pretty ice had melted. |

Back to The Arctic
A shot of my house. Unlike the day before, temps are back down around 20 with wind chills in the single digits. This particular snowfall was so pretty, but I couldn't get many shots because I had to go to work. But now I have pretty ice back, so I am glad for that. |

DAY 26.
AUSTRALIA. NSW. PICTON ..
another massive storm last night and stood for ages and ages at my bedroom window waiting to catch a lightning bolt ... wish matt'd park his ute somewhere else!!! ... i only caught one lightning bolt coz i just wasnt quick enough, but there where so many that would've been heaps better ... i'm gonna have to get some sort of protection for my camera coz i'd be out there for sure trying to get THAT shot instead of taking these sort of shots thru the screen .. altho the screen does give it an interesting look ... by the time the lightning went away i had serious muscle burn in my arms!!...

And.....I spent three hours this morning in a seminar to learn how to RAW process, then took off and snapped 100 pics.
Life is GOOD!!!!!

Day 24 in Springfield, Mo
Its another old church building but this is building has been holding services sense it was built in 1859. I think that make it the oldest in Springfield.
I know the street lite and power lines take away from the building. I started to try and clone them out but i am just learning to clone so i am not very good at it and if you ever come to
Springfield to see it thats the way it looks streetlite and power lines.

Orange - Day 24 .. had to cheat on this and use one from yesterday because it was pouring rain here today. Hoping to head out tomorrow to take a picture I think will be a special treat from Louisville (if the rain goes away!). This is a Mexican restaurant not far from home.

Day 20/25: It Started AGAIN!!!!
This is the last picture to bring me back up to speed......except with my luck, I'll end up buried again and lose my Internet service.
This is REALLY where I live and it is beautiful all year 'round.
Even......in the snow!
