Day 9 - Really lazy today. Did not have time to shoot anything pretty. Anyway, these are some of my plants I have during the winter. Sorry for the snapshot, but not much time today.

It's dark and it's raining. Not a great combination for getting that day 9 shot, so I went out to my garage and set up the camera looking down my driveway. I'll call it an experiment in night photography. :)
Ok, now that I have a few minutes. . . Time to pour a beer and get to work commenting on all of the shots in this thread! (Or, get a life, but we all know that that ain't gonna happen!) :)

Day 8 - Didn't have a car today so dug through my "archives" for a Florida based photo. This is a Carnival Cruise Lines ship heading out into the Gulf of Mexico from Tampa Bay. They pass under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on their way out (which I posted a shot of earlier in the challenge).
I always have a hard time getting a decent shot of these big boats and my editing on them leaves something to be desired.

Details with the images. No need to try to comment on all of them, as I see some are doing. Thank you so much for the comments that I have been recieving.
I had a good day today. Work was good and I also made the deal to have a second S3 Pro Fuji today on eBay. Woohoo!

For some reason I thought it was a good idea to test out the lens I borrowed tonight on the way home from work. Although it was warmer today than it has been all this week, it's still definitely far from Summer! My fingers almost dropped off it was so cold. This is not quite what I had in mind and is certainly a little out of focus, but it's the best I've got for today.

Day 10: The Mulberry Street Bridge
I found this shot from about a month ago and realized that it's perfect for this project because I'm enjoying sharing "Where I Live" so much with all of you. This is one of my favorite places in the older part of the city.....I hope you'll see why as well.

And isn't it cool to watch 300+ cheerleaders at a competition all moving together in perfect harmony during a break doing something like the Cha-Cha Shuffle? Good luck, I know how hard you work.
I'm getting ready for a National event in Myrtle Beach in April with my daughter. Oh......and for the "Embarrass my Daughter" factor? I'm on our parent/coach team that will be competing at Myrtle Beach as well! A 51 year old fat cheerleader Dad!

The town swimming hole, just before sunset, in the middle of winter.
I finally decided it just isn't going to warm up in the next 48 hours or so, so I best get to going out in the cold and finding something more intresting then a chair in my basement, or the brown grass in my backyard. This is the local pond frozen over, I am hoping that since its the weekend, and the ice is thick, that there will be skaters on the pond tomorrow for some exciting sports photography. yeah, right, lol, I get motion blurs on trees!

Hello my pretties - sorry for my brief absence - I spent a night away from home last night so will be lodging yesterday and today's right here
Day 9 - Crown Promenade Hotel, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Spent the night at this LUXURY hotel last night - YUMMY! They are VERY security conscious and forbid me to photograph the lobbies etc, so I took a shot outside my hotel room door!
Day 10 - My back deck, Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia
Hot Cross Buns are an Easter tradition here in Australia.
In my childhood they were available for sale in the very few weeks prior to Easter - nowdays due to the retail giants NEEDING to string us from holiday to holiday, this year Hot Crossed Buns were available merely a week after Christmas - OBSCENE - where will it end?
To lodge my protest at their prematurity, I REFUSED to buy the traditional fruit ones. Instead I grabbed a six pack of Chocolate Chip (a VERY recent evolution of the Hot Crossed Bun)- that'll teach them!

australia, nsw, picton ..
went to campbelltown with my daughter .. she wanted me to go to a yoga class with her ... it was great ... then we went to macarthur square which is a large shopping centre/mall about 40 mins from home ... had a starbucks and took a couple of photographs which i've stitched together ....
