First night usually plays havoc with the scores. Until you've got about 100 votes the score is very unstable.

Hmmm, I dunno Brad. Upper 6's with snapshot? I spent many an hour crafting and agonizing over my Free study masterpiece. You need to earn your comfy seat in mediocrity. But because I really like you and as long as Melethia agrees, I grant you access. Bring cheescake!
(and I'm kidding, I don't have a masterpiece. Obviously) :)

and i feel its way better than my crappy "fill the frame" entry which is currently at 5.155... why is my bad entry doing better than my free study which i like alot more. I know its only 9 votes in but this is the worst start ive had as of yet. Lets hope things pick up. |

I'll tell ya.. There are a lot of people that would not know what photography was even if Ansel Adams came and slapped them in the face. A lot of people in here only seem to like way overprocessed work. I thought I would do a lot better than what is happening.. Pathetic.. Any way how is everyone else doing? LOL.. |

Can I ask a question about the free study here?
I thought free study meant you could send in any photo you liked. No specific theme.
But when I read the free study from January it said 'happy new year' so I figured it still had to do something with new year. Now I look at the entries and I think I thought wrong. I took a photo especially for the free study, but when I read that happy new year thing I didn't enter it. Now I see I could've just entered it... :(
This was gonna be my entry, I was very happy with it and had hopes it'd do well.

I thought the same thing, and I started a thread, to ask if it had to be Happy New Year image, and everyone said no, as it was just a normal Free Study, like all the ones last year. They were just wishing us a Happy New Year, for the beginning of 2007.
