I'd Give a hint ... or a suggestion that there is a discovery to be made.
Originally posted by Puckzzz: Would it be wise to give away in the title what objects you used? In my picture the objects used are not very indentifyable, maybe that makes the photo stronger if people only see the human thing in it and not what it actually is, and if you give it away in the photo they might go "Ahhh, yes now I see it, clever shot" (or they might not ;-) )
I've shown it to several friends (all non DPC-ers) they like the shot, but only one friend saw after a few looks what objects I used. because of that she loved the picture even more. |

i was thinking about that. but i think a woody or dolls of any kind wouldn't count ... they're designed to be human.
personification is giving human traits to an inanimate object. a woody would only be animating that inanimate object.
my opinion! :)

Man Alive! This certainly is a tough one. I have one shot, but after reading this thread, it will be deleted shortly, time for plan B. Now if only I had plan B.....

So glad I read this post and the description! Being a "not native" speaker of English I just get things so wrong sometimes! I looked at some of the entries in the previous personification challenge and saw all kinds of "looks like" this and that and went to work, took me 2 good days, just have to show you the results, ofcourse it would have been hammered with the DNMC heavily so it doesn't really qualify as an outtake, so let me show it..so happy with the results :) what do you think?

I see a dog-nification, but yes I think that can be in the criteria. |

I am in. Figure I should be good for a couple of LMAO comments but not a great score. Had WPL not started this week I may have passed on all of the challenges this week. |

This has to be my most detested challenge. Yuck Yuck Yuck. As Timmy said...if it wasn't for the WPL...I would not have entered. But I have and I expect it to be low...maybe even brown ribbon territory.

I'm in - but family consensus at the moment is "I can't see it"...which doesn't bode well. I'll leave it in and see what happens.
With so much reservation around, except for Jason's limitless excitement, should be a fascinating week. |

I got one in and I love it but it's probably one of those "only a mother could love it" shots. Actually...all my challenges so far seem to be that way. :) |

I am in, perhaps even my shot is from the serial :"every beetle is good for his mother". I am curious to see the product of your fantasy. |

A multiple personification?
I found something else, don't know if it will do but I'm also starting with my group in WPL, hope the others will have something better up their sleeve! |

lol
i've just submitted my personification entry!!!!!
i was shooting all afternoon and couldn't get what i wanted. so i abandoned my first concept and went with a new idea ... i'm much happier with my new concept and shot.
... although, i always like my shots, dpc voters always hate my shots! LOL

You should all try to imitate my great pic from last year's challenge.

oh no...I'm beginning to not like my entry... The brightness and colours are so blah... It's so nondescript that It'll get no comments...
hmm btw since this is going to be my first member challenge I wanted to know, does the voting/comments decrease due to the lack of voting members...

I've my shot done... I'll post it to the challenge, but first I'll need to be sure I can kill it from my portfolio after all.
Do you know how? |

Svetlana, unless a photo has been entered in a challenge, it can be removed. In your profile, click the select box under the applicable photo. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and you'll see a "delete selected items" option. Click on that, and it will be gone. |
