Anybody use/used their tripods or monopods? I found a pretty nice carbon fiber monopod of theirs but I've never heard of them before. Looks like they have a decent warranty (5 years) but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with their products.

Nobody has any experience yet, they are just now being brought into the market. They are made in China, and seem to be a joint venture with MAC. They certainly are not cheap, but they look nice.

Heh I guess that would explain why I couldn't find out much about them, thanks for the info!

Yeah, but that doesn't show any pictures or details, which is what we're having a hard time finding.

I'm pretty sure the one I looked at in the store was the:

MXC-34 $179.9 62.9in extended 20.5in folded 1.58lb 17.6lb supported (at Vistek).

It was $151 in the store and at Adorama (though Adorama doesn't have photos) which seems about 60 to 90 dollars cheaper than more or less equivalent Gitzo models. Only a 5 year warranty vs lifetime though. Its also got that thing at the bottom you can unscrew to make three little stubby legs although I'm not sure if I'd ever really use that feature. It's tempting but I don't think I'm in a rush to buy one so I'll probably just think on it for a while ;)

edit: vistek link
