Yes. This is true. It's causes the alcohol to be absorbed through the stomach faster. |

Ok. What about Ciroc vodka? It's the french vodka made from grapes (shouldn't that mean it's a brandy?). |

I'll agree with many others on here and tell you to just not go overboard your first time. Remember the golden rule - "Beer before liquor, get sick quicker. Liquor before beer, you're in the clear!" Trust me, it works. :) Either that or just stick to one thing all night. As far as types of alcohol go, I agree that you should probably start with beer and just stick with that the whole night.
Once you get more ambitious and are into the idea of mixing shots and beer (in HEAVY moderation), my absolute favorite drink of all time is an Irish Car Bomb. Glass of Guinness, shot glass 1/2 full of Irish whiskey (usually Jameson) and 1/2 full of Irish cream (usually Bailey's); then you drop the shot in the Guinness and chug the entire thing. I definitely would not jump right into that one though... ;) Oh, and one more piece of advice - drink Pedialyte before you go to bed. Though it's designed for re-hydrating children, drink some before you go to bed after a night of drinking and it will re-hydrate you while you sleep. GREAT stuff! :D
*Edit: DAMN! Cindi beat me to the quote! :)

The more you drink, the more you WANT to drink. So, when you get to the point that you're really buzzing and having an awesome time and want to chug an entire bottle of Jose Cuervo.... Stop. Unless, of course, you have no qualms about praying to the porcelain god for two days straight. :) |

Don't start peeing - once you start the valve is broken and you'll be peeing all night. |

Yup... Ciroc although wikipedia says this:
Cîroc vodka is a brand of vodka manufactured in France. It is distinguished by the fact that it is derived from grapes, in contrast to corn, sorghum, rye, wheat, or potatoes that are more commonly used.
The grapes used for Cîroc vodka are "snap frost" grapes; Mauzac Blanc from the Gaillac region of France, and Ugni Blanc from the Cognac region. The juice extracted from these grapes is cold fermented.
Although all vodka is distilled, the manufacturers of Cîroc vodka emphasize that theirs is distilled five times. The first four distillations of the ugni blanc take place in stainless steel column stills, the Mauzac Blanc grapes are distilled in copper continous stills. These are distilled as far as 96.5% and 93.5% then blended together 95% being Ugni Blanc and 5% Mauzac Blanc. The final distillation is performed in a traditional Armagnac style copper pot still.
This particular spirit is not technically a brandy or, more specifically, an eau de vie (distillate from fermented fruit) because it's distillation (up to 96.5%) is much higher than that allowed by an eau de vie. |
