I just realized that I had one of the coolest weeks of shooting I've ever had. Not all great images but a wide variety of stuff. After reading a few downer threads here and elseware about no motivation and lack of ideas....I was thinking. Just get out there and shoot! Don't get involved in process. Don't worry about what you're shooting. Don't think....just get out there and shoot!

All shot between Saturday the 13th thru Tuesday...

...and man, was it ever fun.

Hey pawdrix, they ain't half bad! Perhaps you should be around here a little more. Been a bit lax lately haven't you? Let's have batch 2

Nice work, it shows that just by letting go, not being challenge driven can produce some great results!

Nice stuff, Steve. Have you noticed that every one of them except the last uses the same implied (or explicit) diagonal, compositionally. It's stronger in some than in others, but when you view them as thumbs it's quite obviously there in all :-)

Actually I did notice that. The flowers with with intent, for sure. Nice observation.

Steve - left ya a couple of comments - great work. And thank you for posting this. I have been SEVERELY unmotivated lately, to the point that just looking at my camera makes me sick. So I'm going to try this too, just shoot anything and see what I come up with. (wish the weather was a little nicer though)

Pawdrix, you never fail to amaze me with your talent and photographic wisdom. I think you are spot-on with your advice to just get out there and shoot -- I did that the other day and even though I didn't necessarily get a stunner out of the day, I remembered just how much fun it all was back when I started. :) Here's to Just Do It!
