From one of my first challenges. It really bothered me at the time but now I think its funny. Its interesting to go through some of your commentors other comments on others photos, I am sure you are not the only one to be touched by their unique commenting style :)
"I wanna go home"...then go ahead and do so. The photo meets the challenge perfectly. and that's a good thing, but the title is clueless. |

"Least favourite" would be a bit harsh in this case, but I'm still puzzling over part of a comment I got on my first attempt at a challenge entry:
 "I think the white cross needs to be more upright"

"you're going to have to learn Rembrandt lighting or get a little more creative to get a better score in this challenge, especially with a studio shot.2"
OK, now I completely realize that this isn't ribbon-worthy or anything... but I also really don't think that it deserved a 2 ... funny thing is that the user who left that comment only finished 4 places higher than I did in that challenge!! |

The comments that bother me the most are when someone gives you just a number, I just recieved a comment that says "5", that is it.
What does that say...and why bother putting it there at all if you can't say why. Is it just to boost your comments given? Anyway it just bothers me (unless of course that comment said 10).
I appreciate most comments good or bad but comments like 5 don't help anything and in my opinion are a waste of time.

I actually loved this snide comment on my procrastination photo, which was of a goat sitting on a park bench:
But what are YOU procrastinating? Getting the goat milked?
The reason I loved it is because the goat is male. ROFLMAO imagining someone trying to "milk" that particular goat.

This was on a (mediocre, I'll admit) picture of a hat sitting on a table in the headwear challenge. Last time I checked, a hat is indeed headwear, even if it's not sitting on someone's head.

I concur these are the worst. I can see all the individual scores after the challenge. Was there some reason the voter wanted me to equate the score with them? |

With a tiny little bid of code, the comments area could require a minimum amount of words if a comment is to be left.
"Comments are not required, but if you do, please leave a complete sentence ... "
This does not apply to some of course who will respond with "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" and "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" or "noooooooooooooooooooo"

I've found that those who leave the nastiest messages usually aren't shining stars themselves. Maybe they're just bitter. |
