On monday is the MLK parade, advertised as the largest in the USA. I went last year to the parade and park GTG after and found it very amazing. A majority of the parade participants had nothing to do with MLK, it was just a place where they could carry political signs abour everything from global warming to Bush to war to abortion and on-and-on. There were so many real "characters" to photograph. I enjoyed see how one parade in respect to MLK was used to vent every social issue around. I'm sure many others are similar, a great opportunity for candid photos. Maybe will see some of the San Antonio or Texas DPC'rs at it. |

Ya, it's forecast to hit freezing monday morning, BUT the weather guys here always forget to look out the window for what is really happening. Hope it still goes on, a great candid opportunity. |

dang it was cold, not a good turnout. Right at freezing with a wind. The "party" field was nothing but mud. Too cold for the real "character" subjects to be out for candid, a flop this year. |
