...from all former, current, and future students who have ever lived on Ramen noodles:
The Ramen noodle inventor has passed. Those noodles provided much sustenance for me during my college days.

Nope...I just read it on Yahoo's main page and thought I'd pass it along. :)

Who hasn't lived on Ramen noodles at some point in their lives.

Chances are, his heirs will never have to(unless they want to).

I still like them tho :)

i found a bug in mine once, in my steaming hot bowl, after a few bites, nearly barfed. I stuck the bug to a letter with some Scotch tape and mailed it to Ramen. They mailed me back some coupons for more Ramen.

Never eaten them in my life, never bought them, have never actually seen them cooked, just on the shelves in the stores. They do not look appetizing to me.

My daughter loves them. She woke me up this morning at 7AM with the smell of shrimp ramen, Its not something you want to wake up to after only 2 hrs of sleep! lol

my kids have stopped cooking them

they take it out of the packet, sprinkle the flavor over the dry brick and crunch it down. You should hear the sound it makes!

My students swear by them! Having been in their shoes once (14-20 hour days. . . living in the barracks. . . . making about as much as the guy on the corner in New York. . . ) I can say that I have eaten my share of them too.

Really????????????????? That's like hearing someone has never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Karen. . I challenge you: In honor of Mr. Ramen. ..you must. I think you will like them. But I'd try beef instead of shrimp :)

But oh yeah. . .I remember my horror when I finally read the label and realized they had 17 carbs per serving. ..and of course 2 or 3 servings per pack!! (as IF. . .one pack could feed anyone but me :)

I thought the calories were what made things taste so good! They've never done me any harm!

I've never had one. I think it's just an American thing... :)

to make them even better, and possibly nutritious, i used to add fozen peas, then at the end, break an egg in and stir it up until the egg was cooked. the shrimp was always best with that.

it's not the calories so much as the sodium content - through the roof!

Well, I know that jelly = jam (because here, jelly is that wobbly stuff you have for dessert) - So I suppose if I wanted to, I could make one. But they're just not very popular, I don't know anybody who eats them. Probably an acquired taste.

Ah okay! - yea, I've had all sorts of dried noodles before. Pot Noodle they're called here. But I thought I'd shock you more by admitting I'd never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

...and the saturated fats. I usually use only a half of the salty packet.

I think I once found a brand (Moon Palace?) from Korea which had noodles made without all the fat.
