Hey, if you could hang out with any photographer on DPC, who would it be and what would you want to do (G-Rated answers only!)?

I think it would be fun to hang out with JJ Beguin and ride bikes around the Swiss/French countryside with long loaves of bread sticking out of the baskets.

It would also be cool to go on a road trip with Kiwi and Magnetic9999 from Germany to Paris.

And who could resist going up to Canada and sipping hot cocoa on some deck in the fall weather with Ursula (Uabresh) at Mer Bleu Bog?

My preferance would be a huge "munch" or a picnic, spend the day somewhere nice with as many people from here as we could get in one place :) Meet as many people at once as possible, as it always then makes the forums etc so much better when you know who you are "chatting" with.

As for picking an individual .... too many people here I'd enjoy meeting to make a short list of ;)

I think it would be cool to go hang out with Konador for a day and take photos with him around Bristol. ViperMike would also be one of the people that I'd like to meet.

As Natator wrote, there are way too many people I'd enjoy meeting to list them all. So far I've met Mag and his wife and we had an amazing time traveling around this part of Germany and down to Paris. I also met Stephan when we went to Berlin for a weekend, he's one real nice guy too. I can't wait to meet more of you.

I'd love to get together will those members that are in more "exotic" locations, for sure, but until I manage to save some money up for a vacation, what's up with other members in southern Cali? When are we gonna have a GTG?

You are welcome and If you are brave, you may try my bicycle.

since we are in dreaming mode and that I could use a drink right now, how about:
_Some Green Island Rhum in Mauritius with Jean
_A glass of Riesling Icewine from the Okanagan Valley with Zeuszen
_a few Martinies at New Orleans' Bombay Club with grigrigirl
- or even, what the hell, a few challenging shots of Brennivin, in the artic night, with some crazy Islanders

I will be in London this Weekend and will surely go for a good warm pint of Directors beer at the Lamb & Flag.

Okay.... here's a few from me.....

I'd definitly love to spend some time with Jean in Mauritius.... If I could see the world through her eyes I know I would be a much better photographer.

I think a road trip from Germany to London with Kiwiness culminating in taking in a test match (cricket) at Lords between Australia & New Zealand with a beer downed every time Chris Cairns or Adam Gilchrist hit a six! (Apologies to those who know nothing of cricket, but this would most likely result in many a beer being drunk!)

I think a round of Golf with Macro Jacko would be fun..... especially with a beer per hole.... and if I could stop him from plunging into the rough to find all manner of bugs to take home and macroise!

A visit with Pedro and a few pints anywhere west of Calgary would be the way to go.

And after reading JJ Beguin's response I think I'd like to tag along with him on his trip too!

Editied for my crappy spelling

Have you been to the bombay club? :) New Orleans is a great place and I will gladly be a tour guide for fellow photographers!

JJ Béguin is the 1st guy I'd love to chat with.... not to mention to share his love of great food and wine.

I'm also a macro fan and love Jacko's sense of humour on this site. So having a couple of two-fours of Moosehead would be fun. :-)

After living for over 2 years al over Europe including 4 months in beautiful Deutschland, a visit with Gary would be amazing!

And soooooooooooooooooooooooo many more!

For me it would be to go hang out with the Icelanders.
I've always wanted to go there.

Was there twice (New Orleans), once with a band. A city with character especially the old quarter. Went to the classics (Brenan̢۪s, Antoine etc.) and some more modest Creole joints I really enjoyed. Visited the swamps and a few cemeteries as well.

Hey, I just saw this!!! Guess what - if you want to come with me to the bog you need to come in the next month, because in December we are moving to Trail (or Rossland ??) in British Columbia!!! NOW - you're welcome to visit in BC :)))))) Hot cocoa for everyone.

For myself, I would LOVE to meet and hang out at/with a lot of the places/people mentioned, but, ICELAND, that's where I would like to visit ... return to Canada via Norway and Sweden :))

Although, come to think of it, any place with pink flamingoes and beautiful palm trees blowing in the soft breeze would be really good also.

Btw, my spoken english is much better as written.

I'd defanetely like to hang with everyone here its hard to say who with cause everyone here has great personalities and I think they bring out the best of places because there, ....there! I was born in Germany (dad in service) dont remeber but i have a lot of collectibles from there, I'd like to visit there first, and being in the states NewYork, and North Carolina, would be great choices! Yall come to South Carolina things are happening here!

Iceland is tempting, if only I'd learn to be in two places at the same time, like Odhin. The fog would be great too for a vanishing act.

On the other hand, JJBeguin seems to have a delicious vision of the temperate zones. He strikes me as a cultured man with a breath for conversation, which I value. The Provence wouldn't be too far. I'd spar with the ghost of De Born and walk the old layout.

At Rochechouart, where the hills part...

And then, there's Jean on Mauritius, with her blues and greens and yellows...

O agony!

Kinks I went to Tallinn last summer and loved it - sorry I didn't think to look up if there were any DPCers in Estonia! :(

I can't believe nobody has expressed an interest in coming to visit me in Pittsburgh. :( Do you realize that we put french fries on our salads? Surely that'll entice yinz! :)

Visiting any of you that visit the forums regularly would be delightful. Would also love to play hostess to anyone coming to Vancouver, it is a great place and lots to take shots of.

I would like to host a get together of local dpcers if any of you are interested let me know... perhaps we could have a photo scavenger hunt or dinner and some wine?
