I've noticed that I favor negative space to the left of my pictures instead of the right. It isn't 100%, but certainly enough to be noticed.
So that makes my pictures right handed (subject on right).
Are there more righties than lefties out there? Is it a product of western civilization reading from left to right?
Edited to reflect that I may be the only Westerner who doesn't read from LEFT to RIGHT.

I think I tend to go with negative space to the right, subject to the left. Makes sense, since my dominant eye is my left.

I intentionally try to not fall into a pattern with this, that is, I try to have images that read left to right, right to left, up/down, at a diagonal, in a swirl, whatever. |

I can't read. I actually use an infinite number of monkeys to type any posts I want to make.

We can't have monkeys here, we don't pay peanuts! So I have to use random jabs at the keyboard thingie, hoping something is readabubble. |

Yes. This is precisely it. Though many of my images tend to be anchored to the right as well. It's not a conscious decision, but maybe my brain finds it more striking that way because it defies the usual order?

It means you should have a kickin' entry this week. :)

When I use negative space, I'm not sure that either side dominates. It depends on my subject, and my mood, largely. And, being a woman, we all know how variable that can be.
