I downloaded an action called Urban Acid from //www.atncentral.com/download.htm and unzipped it into my adobe CS2/presets/photoshop actions directory.
I can see it's there using Windows Explorer, but when I go to the "load actions" window in PS, it's not there. Other .atn files are there that came with CS2, but not the new one.
I restarted CS2 twice, but it just won't show up.
Anyone know whether that .atn file isn't compatible with CS2?
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Yes. That's what I meant when i said "the "load actions" window in PS." Is there some other way to load it I could try?
I go to the palette, click the little triangle, choose load actions.
The other action sets that came with CS2 show up in the list, but not urban acid.atn.

I've done this before, so I'll mention it...
when you download the zip file, make sure you unzipped it to a different location...or that you are trying to load the file inside the holder/folder file. |

Thanks for the help. Nothing I tried worked, but then I read that you can drag and drop from a Windows Explorer folder right onto the actions palette.
That worked. :)

Yes, that's what I've been trying. Thought I'd made that clear. :)
The new action shows up in Windows Explorer in the right folder, but when I click on "load action" it doesn't show in the same folder.
Hence my problem loading it.
