Okay tomorrow I'm going to the NJ Devils game and Of course I'm taking my camera with me. Has anyone shot at Continental Airlines Arena? How's the lighting? Will I have a problem with my PnS camera? Of course I'm not taking any lenses.
Also, what's the rule on pictures of public figures? I can take pictures of the NJ Devils game and use them for pretty much anything i want as long as it's not intentional defamation right?? |

You can use the images in your portfolio but you won't likely be able to sell them as prints.

you can also sell them for editorial use - an article about the Devils in the paper, or a local magazine - if the periodicals love them enough to pay. Have fun. |

You can't use the pictures commercially.
You can't take a shot of someone famous on the street and then use it to sell Mama Luigi's Goat Milk or whatever.
The use of any photographs and your right to photograph in any stadium is restricted by the rules of that arena/team etc. By using your ticket for admission, you are consenting to comply with their rules. Remember, you may be in an arena with a lot of people, but legally you are not in a "public" place. |
