I am currently using SmugMug to process orders for my customers. I have been asked several times if I could make Christmas Cards. I know mpix.com offers them but then I would have to order them myself.

Has anyone tried to make thier own cards? Not the folding kind but the kind that are on a 4 inch by 8 inch print, where the picture is inserted into a .jpg of a Holiday scene.

If I can find some nice scenes, I would make my own cards.

A link to the mpix ones:

I searched for a while and came up with noting. If anyone has any insiight, please let me know.

shutterfly have a lot. I got my folding cards done there this year. They also have the sort of scenes you are looking for to print 4x8s as well I think.

That's really the same thing as Mpix. I do like shutterfly's selection though.

My basic problem is that SmugMug doesn't have this as a product, but I would like my clients to purchase them through my Professional SmugMug account.

I was thinking, I could make them myself, if I had a few "holiday .jpg" backgrounds. I would load up Photoshop and paste my pics right on the background, save and upload it to my Smugmug. The my clients could order as many as they wish from from SmugMug.
