I have made up my mind to start a self portrait a day project. I have had alot of things to deal with lately, bought my first house, got a new job, might have lost my girlfriend etc.. so I thought it would be a good time to start.

I would like to make the photos "casual" showing my everyday life or lack there of, and emotions.

Does anyone have any tips to keep this project going and how to keep taking interesting self portrait photos?

You could do worse than study up on Cindy Sherman. She's been shooting pretty much nothing but self-portraits for about 40 years

be carefull of soem nudity and horror shots but there are hundreds in there.

You could always check out the 30 day self-portrait challenge threads.

I'm sure you'll find her once you've unpacked all the moving boxes. ;-)

I participated in both 30 day SP threads posted. It's not easy to come up with good ideas every day, but it is fun and it does give you something to practice your photography skills on if you don't have a willing model - or if your girlfriend is missing. ;-) Have fun & hope you find her (or another one) soon.
