Not enough time to try anything elaborate (I'm supposed to be preparing a test for school), so this is what I did quickly.

Congratulations from one Pentax owner to another! It looks like you are not alone with the K10D.

Yes, and she was there first, although I requested the camera to be added to the data base a couple of days ago. |

I still haven't had a huge opportunity to play around with the camera, but I took it out into the playground during break time. With the exception of the swinger among these photos, I used my 100-300mm zoom, which isn't my best lens; trying out the antishake option, you see.
Stupidly, I still had ISO set at 800, from last night...
And my camera came with the booklets in Japanese, so I've only partly into the users manual by printing off selected pages from the English version I downloaded.

Congratulations!! I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. Here in Holland it is not certain when it'll come out exactely, but I've already put my name down for one from a big store. Today (friday) they expect new shipments so I'll be on the phone again to see if it came with todays shipment (like last week, and the week before hahaha I'm driving them nuts!)
Can't wait to take it out for a walk :-P |

if this had been around whuen i was camera shopping - well, i might have. my first real camera was a k1000, and i loved it until it was stolen (along with my leica, minolta, and paraphenalia). i'm happy with the 20d, but i guess it would have felt like continuity.
o well, unless i win a lottery, i will continue to be happy with the 20d.
it looks like a super camera, well done david!

I'm hoping this will be my first dSLR too. Just waiting for the reviews and then to see if others are happy with theirs. It's too big an investment for me to buy the wrong thing. |

I haven't taken more than 100 shots on it yet, and there are functions I don't quite get the hang of (not having a portable manual is a drawback ;>þ), but I can tell the images are superior to the the *istDS's. The Shake Reduction is pretty good - I've been using mostly long lenses. I haven't done any macro shots yet. I can get infrared shots with an IR filter (still need a filter holder, though...)
So I went shooting this afternoon here because this scene won't last long:
One thing - RAW Shooter Essentials can't read the new Pentax RAW file format, nor can Irfanview, so I have to use the Pentax Photo Laboratory. |

I've tried my Bigma on the K100D with AS and it's pretty sweet. Don't need to lug the monopod everywhere. I can't imagine the crops that can be made with the 10 mp of the K10D. |

Is this a gray market purchase?
